Paper is paper is paper... right?? well...
yes but no!!
That's like saying that all toilet paper is the
same.
We all
know that some paper is more abrasive and that you can feel the difference, also
some paper is stronger and tears less easily.
So what does this have to do with paper for your point of sale
printer?
If the paper you use is more abrasive you will find that
your printer wont last as long. Thermal printer heads are rated in how
many Kilometers they will travel over a piece of paper and the difference
can be as much as 20% more over less abrasive paper.
Also, if paper is of a higher quality it tears less easily reducing
paper jams and lockups.
At Remedy we supply paper of good quality that is still economical and
because we buy in bulk we can offer those savings to you.
You can save a few cents per roll but if your printer jams or wears out
prematurely, you wont have saved anything because you will have to
pay for servicing that printer.
